This is a high elevation, remote mountain road with steep narrow switchbacks. Expect snow or packed ice from November to June. This is a GROOMED SNOWMOBILE ROUTE. Do not attempt this as an alternate route when freeway is closed.

The City of Corvallis will be replacing waterline utility and completing pavement resurfacing along SW Western Boulevard west to SW Western Wills Road and east from SW 26th Street to SW 15th Street starting at the end of March through September. Homeowners and businesses along the route will experience delays and closures periodically, as needed.

NOTE: THIS INFORMATION IS CURRENT / UPDATED IN REAL TIME. The Steens Mountain Loop Road, higher elevation, is closed for a large majority of the year do to heavy snow and drifting. Even if it looks like it we haven't updated this map in MONTHS, it is still current.

AT PRESENT: The upper portion of the Steens Mountain Loop Road, from Fish Lake Campground to Big Indian Overlook, is closed for the winter season. Very tentative/estimated opening date is July 4, 2025.

Monday, 3/31through July 11, 2025. West entrance of Leo Harris Parkway at MLK closed for construction. East entrance is open for access to Autzen Stadium and the Eugene Science Center. Work is expected to continue with closure in effect until July 2025

• Expect lane shifts, street closures and traffic delays while work is ongoing. 
• Bikes are encouraged to use the Day Island Rd Bike path from the west around the Eugene Science Center and for access to Autzen Stadium, Eugene Science Center as well as full access from the east entrance of Leo Harris Parkway. 
• Pedestrian access on the south side of MLK remains open
• Pedestrians are also encouraged to use Pre’s trail from the west and Leo Harris Parkway from the east. 
• Please be aware of large trucks and equipment in the area.

Mill Street is restricted to one-way northbound traffic between Main Street and Centennial Boulevard for the Mill Street Reconstruction project. Detours are in place with signs and other markings to direct traffic.

Lane County will be performing construction work including utility relocations, storm system upgrades, sidewalks and concrete paving. The contract end date is December 31, 2025.

Starting June 16, 2025 to approximately August 31, 2025, southbound Laura St will be closed to through traffic and detours will be in place. Access from Lindale Dr to Laura St will be closed as well.

Construction is scheduled to wrap up by December 31, 2025. Detours will be in place and traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Houck Construction will begin a project for McKay Rd Safety Improvements on 5/5/25. The project will start at the west end of McKay Rd near Hwy 219 and will continue until the middle of June. When completed, the contractor will transition to the east side from Case Rd to approximately 2,000' past Arbor Grove Rd (near Melcher Family Farms). The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph in the two work zones, and traffic will be reduced to one lane during the day or night depending on the contractor's activities. The only detour that will be in place will be for bicycles.

Rambler Dr NE will close between 75th Av and 82nd Av beginning at 7:00 am on Monday, March 3, 2025 through 5:00 pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025. This closure is necessary for work being performed for the Little Pudding Bridge Rehabilitation Project. Local and emergency access will not be maintained, and the detour route will not be signed.

The project involves the completion of urban bicycle and ADA compliant pedestrian facilities along Connecticut Avenue SE between Macleay Road/Pennsylvania Avenue and Rickey Street/Macleay Road. 

Old Wheeler-Mohler Road is CLOSED due to an active landslide. The road has been repaired but is gated for emergency use only.

The new alignment of Cape Meares Loop is OPEN.

There are sections of steep 12 percent grades, plan your trip accordingly.

Sandlake Road (between Pacific City and Tierra Del Mar) is now open to one lane with automatic signal device for traffic control.
